Asphalt Sealing Technician (Seasonal)

 

We are looking for an Asphalt Sealing Technician to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY
Under direction of the Supervisor, Asphalt Technicians are responsible for operating and maintaining sealing equipment to effectively execute customer work orders. Work will be performed primarily in residential driveways and commercial parking lots. This position also involves various manual tasks, including but not limited to; sweeping, shovelling, raking, power blowing and mechanical assistance including but not limited to; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects. Individuals will clean and prepare worksites, as well as conduct product application to asphalt. On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of our crew.

This position is part-time seasonal, May through November (weather permitting). Average work days can last up to 8 hours or more. Working weekends may be required. College and university students may benefit from this position and are encouraged to apply. ​Compensation: $19-$25/hour based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Previous asphalt sealing experience preferred but not necessary

• Physically capable of performing manual labour tasks

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with homeowners and business professionals

• A passion for detail

• A team player with a positive, "get-it-done" attitude

• Willingness to learn and take direction​
